The Weaver's Dance

On a loom that whispers, with shuttles that fly
And bobbins that chatter as the hours go by
I'll not lay in one thread of mere chance
As I work in the motion of the weaver's dance.

Colors on Black and Charcoal

I have the best time weaving colors in on black and charcoal. On Stanley, I have a 16/2 black and charcoal marl warp that is the most inspiring 'canvas'! There are some photos of fabrics in progress over on my page named "Stanley", if you would like to see...Stanley is such a joy to weave on, has 12 heavy harnesses, but he keeps me in shape.

Some of my yardage from Stanley are absolutely stunning in purrrrrrrson, and I hope the photos here can begin to do them justice!

To the right, you'll see, yes, a purrrrrple rayon chenille woven onto my charcoal warp. This fabric was put through machine washing and machine drying to bring about maximum shrinkage...it's easy care and looks fabulous!

Goodness gracious, THIS is why I WEAVE!!!!!

The yardage is $36/yard or $1.00/inch. The width of the fabric...remember, this is already shrunk...is 30.5" wide and I have approximately 3/6 yards of it.

If you are interested in this fabulous fabric, let me know, if you want a no-obligation quote of exactly how much I have.

I am listing this fabric over in my Etsy Shop for fast purrrrchase or I can send you an invoice so you can pay through PayPal OR you can send me a check.

Here's another one of my favorite "event fabrics" from Stanley. As you might have read about weaving on Stanley, these fabrics are a dream to weave as well as to see/feel/handle/sew later!

This fabric is $36/yard or $1.00/inch and I have a night amount of it at approximately 5.5 yards. Email me for a no-obligation quote of the exact down-to-the-inch quote on this fabric's length. The width, selvedge to selvedge is 35 inches and, remember, that's after machine washing and machine drying!

Here's a yardage that, the whole time I was weaving it, I kept thinking of it as "Classy Brass". It started it's life as a This-N-That which I liked part of it and wanted to change part of it...and I got to thinking of all the different 'colors' that brass goes through from shiney new to old yucky patina. So, I started gathering any rendition of brass in yarns and threads and this, to the left, is the result.

This is, I guess you know, one of my "Event Fabrics" which are such a joy to weave on Stanley.

This yardage, so much more work and time to weave, is $42/yard and I have approximately 2.2 yards of it. I can make more of this magnificent yardage.

I must say...isn't it juuuust yummy?!? It's a delightful blend of cotton, rayon, nylon and Lurex and is machine wash/dry for easy care!

If interested in this yardage, you can see more details about it in my Etsy Shop by clicking on the caption of the photo directly above. If not wanting to go through Etsy, contact me directly via email or by comment at the end of this page...I can accept payment by check via snail mail or can send an invoice for credit card transaction through PayPal.
