The Weaver's Dance

On a loom that whispers, with shuttles that fly
And bobbins that chatter as the hours go by
I'll not lay in one thread of mere chance
As I work in the motion of the weaver's dance.

Arlene

Here's a photo of one of my 'friends', Arlene. I weave all of my scarves on her now.  She is so fast, smooth, with such a balanced action that she promotes great efficiency of movement. I believe she is one of my oldest looms, possibly surpassed by The Old Structo.  I could find out, but never have.  Did you know that, if you own a Macomber, you can call them, provide the information on the plaque on the side of the castle, and they will tell you when it was built!?!?

This scarf was woven on Arlene and, to my greatest joy, it won me the HGA Award in 2007.  I have been
weaving these scarves for years and I loved the hand of them so much, that I created a fabric just like them when I acquired Margaret several years ago. My price range on these scarves is $70 to $100.  These scarves are very light, sheer and fine.  Inquiries will bring detailed photos of individual pieces via
email, if desired. Fiber content varies, but usually will include rayon since I dress Arlene with 20/2 rayon.  Onto this fine web, I might weave cotton, silk, Lurez, bamboo, lyocel, nylon or any combinations therein.  Sometimes I put beads in the fringe, but only the smallest because these scarves are so light!
All scarves come with complete content and care instructions.
